  1. My advice would be to take out a personal loan from a bank for the 4K that you owe, and pay the loan off while you are in the army. The army can not stop social services from taking money, but you are more likely to get a loan when you are employed by the army because it is a stable job.

You will have to open a bank account before you join the army, because the way the army pays you is by direct deposit into an account for you. The old days of the pay check are over. To pay off the loan, you can have an allotment come directly out of your pay check, so it will never go into your account. Allotments usually make life a little more easy for soldiers. Also you can make an allotment to your ex's account so you never have to worry about forgetting a payment again, it will just be taken out of your check automatically.

         Good luck.

  2. you will not be permitted to enlist at all.  the minute they run your social security number the Child support Arrears will show up.  if there is a bench warrant, you are toast.

get a lawyer and get that CS  re negotiated to better reflect your actual financial status.  You cannot enlist until you have a repayment agreement in hand.  and any bonuses you may get would be taken to pay the arrears.

  3. They will take care of all of this in basic. They will set you up financially and help you schedule payments to your ex. It's not in a special back or anything. They also have FREE legal advice for their soldiers!!!

Some people are so rude!! They always blame the man for the relationship drama! Sometime it's PURELY the woman's fault!!
