Joining groups?

I try to join certain groups and get turned down because my yahoo ID doesn't have birthdate but yahoo says it's on file and not on display because of security. How do I solve this problem

some groups require the age on the profile- you can add your age to the profile if you want or locate other groups that don't require it.

yahoo does not require a person to have their age on a profile to enter or be a member adult groups - misconception. but many group owners still require it

Some groups also require an age restriction because of the subject of the group even if it's not in an adult category.  Some groups in the health category for example put an age restriction because that group is meant for people to discuss certain issues for that health problem as it relates to a certain age group (like teen girls who may have endometriosis-as one example-where they need to get information about how to deal with teachers when they are at school all day and they get sick because of the pain).

Some groups require age restrictions (like adult groups), so better include it in your profile.
