I have smoked quite a bit of weed in the last month... How long will it take to get out of my system for the military drug test? I heard it took longer than normal drug tests. Thanks.

  1. i would wait at least two months and then go ..just to be safe

  2. Do us and yourself a favor and do not join

  3. About a month...but if you are joining the Air Force and you are applying for Security Clearance.  They will test your hair for drugs and that will show up

Come clean before joining the Air Force or they will throw the book at you

  4. hahaha, God bless America

  5. If you have plans on joining the USAF, then why were you smoking pot?  You have to be serious into joining.

Marijuana usually stays in your body for 30-45 days, but it is determined on your body fat percentage since THC is stored there.  If you drink plenty of water and are athletically active, you will get it out of your system probably in 20-30 days.

Military drug test are no different than any other standard drug test.  Therefore,  it won't be called a 'military' drug test.  Federal urine analysis checks a certain percentage of degree (the ppm-parts per million), but enough to fail you if you smoked pot in the 30-45 day window.  THC content by the US federal law is 1.5 ppm, anything higher, you fail!  They will check back to 7 years on a hair test, if I remember correctly.  Shaving your head won't do!, you'll be required to present a hair follicle (no matter what), if Security Clearance is needed for your job.

NOTE: "Yello5_j" (another who answered you) here is an idiot, he must want you to fail or he is a druggie that is proud of his lifestyle.  He is the one that is 'more' of a disgrace than people claim 'you' to be!  Obviously, he failed his security clearance.  Druggies are not accepted when securing sensitive compartmented information!

  6. i like it doesn't last more than a month.

  7. Wow your a joke.

  8. I am an Air Force Recruiter. If you have Smoked MJ you need to let your recruiter know asap then you have to wait 45 days before you can go to MEPS and take the DAT (Drug Analysis Test) make sure that you do not even attempt to go to meps without the 45 day wait because if you fail the drug test you will NEVER EVER be able to get back into the Air Force the other branches might take you but the air Air Force will NOT let you join.

  9. at least 30 days, I believe it is 32 days 6 hours exactly. also certain drugs can become "stuck" in your system. and thank you for providing such a wonderful example to all the youth of America.

  10. minimum of 30 days.  And remember you can be subjected to random drug tests while in the military.

  11. 30 days.

  12. So you knew you wanted to join and still smoked quite a bit of week this last month?  I am always floored by this question...

Talk to your recruiter, but you should wait at least 40-50 days for it to clear your system for urine testing.  This will mean no more smoking or being around others who are!  If you are trying for something with a top level security clearance, they may want to test hair samples and that will be even longer to wait as it can take several months for it to clear out of hair.  The AF has an especially stringent screening policy and zero tolerance for use.  They also have no qualms about prosecuting anyone who tests positive during random drug testing.  If you feel you can't give up smoking pot completely, than the military is definitely not for your.

  13. The signs of weed will stay in your hair unless you shave it.  I'm so ashamed to see a druggie joining the Air Force, you're a disgrace.  I'm a proud Air Force brat and it's loser like you that s***w things up.  I hope you get caught and canned.

  14. Last I heard it takes a month to get it out of your system. If you're dumb enough to smoke weed what makes you think you've got the smart for the military, not just the Air Force.

  15. depends on your body. most people it is totally out of their system in 30-60 days
