  1. 1. At a recruitment office you will sort of pick your job or position and if you score poorly ton the test they will pick a qualified job and if you do greatly you get 3 top choices and they will try to get that fulfilled.

    2. Don't enter if you are afraid of being afraid. Fear should not be a worry if you really want to do the Marines. If you are in the Intel division there is a chance you could be in Iraq but not in the warfare but back at the camps.

    3. Lets just say boot camp is HARD. Dont enter the marines unless your in top physical form. After the HARD work is done you will thank your past.

    4. No

    5. Depending on what you want to do and if you want to do it right away.

    6. As in you want to be deployed or not. More information but the Reserves dont deploy as much.

    7. Yes, go to google and search US Marines!

  3. 1. What are the chances of getting an INTEL MOS for the marines, or inventory job ?

If you score high enough to rate a job in intel, AND YOU GET IT IN YOUR CONTRACT, you should get that job.  Don't be a supply f*g, you could easily do that in a warehouse somewhere for $9/hr.

    2. How about getting one of those, and NOT being forced to randomly shoot a saw off a hummer in Baghdad ?

Every Marine is a rifleman. That means no mater what your job is, you could be a grunt. Don't join if you're not ready to look another human being right in the eyes, and shoot him through his face. Don't. You will get yourself, or worse, those around you killed.

    3. How hard is bootcamp ?

Hard, at times. Not impossible. Do what you're told and you'll never have a problem, it's that simple.

    4. Do you get much freedom being active ?

You sure do. What the person above said is correct, you'll have relatively normal hours with training and PT before/after work.

    5. Is Reserves better ?

No, go active and get a real MC experience.

    6. Do reserves deploy better ?

    Uh?

    7. Would you like to offer me any further information ?

Don't worry so d**n much. You'll be fine in boot camp and even in combat, should the time come for you to deploy.  We train hard and take care of one another.  The Corps will most definitely suck at times, but that is life in general son.  I hate it some days too, we all do, but it's the best choice I've made for myself and I wouldn't want to be doing anything else in life right now. Think about it long and hard (but don't worry and over analyze things), good luck to you.

  4. 1. Your job is based on your ASVAB scores, so your scores will determine how many and what kind of jobs that are available to you.

    2. The Navy is the only branch that gurantee's that the job you join to do is the job you will actually do. so with the marines its just a hope and a prayer (my opinion)

    3. Hard

    4. Being active is just like having a regular job, you go to work, go home, sleep, eat, and get up in the morning and do it again, usually getting two days off a week.

    5. (my opinion) Reserves give you the chance to experience it, but it is just that, an experience, active duty is the way to go, you get benefits, job security, and you can RETIRE WITH ONLY 20 YEARS!!!!

    6. Reserves are about the same when it comes to active because usually its Active and Reserves and guard all mixed together when its time to go.

    7. Go Active, and Go Navy!!! once again my opinion.

  5. 1. What are the chances of getting an INTEL MOS for the marines, or inventory job ?

A: INTEL may be difficult, depending on how well you perform on the ASVAB. Supply jobs are plentiful, but your MOS selection will depend primarily on the needs of the Marine Corps at the time. You'll likley be infantry.

    2. How about getting one of those, and NOT being forced to randomly shoot a saw off a hummer in Baghdad ?

A: You will never be forced to randomly shoot a SAW from a HMMWV.

    3. How hard is bootcamp ?

A: Extremely difficult, mentally and physically.

    4. Do you get much freedom being active ?

A: Yes. In general, you will have evenings and weekends off, just like civilians. Of course there will be training exercises and deployments, but while in garrison you have almost normal working hours.

    5. Is Reserves better ?

    A: Better what?

    6. Do reserves deploy better ?

A: Not sure how you can deploy better...

    7. Would you like to offer me any further information ?

    A: Talk to your recruiter.
