I was thinking about joining the Navy and becoming a Navy Seal. The program consists of more than 12 months of initial training — followed by an additional 18 months of pre-deployment training — and intensive specialized training . Its gonna be hard but i think i can handle it. should i do it?

  1. You should have extreme health and you need dedication.

Push yourself to the limits. Find out what you really are like.

  2. Do it. But make sure its what you really want to do. You may say you really want to do it, but in bud/s your gonna wish you never did it, and if you fail, your gonna wish you didn't fail. It is very confusing, but your gonna be a SEAL. One of the most elite fighting forces on the planet!.

nothing on this earth can prepare you for this.

Just stay positive and stick out what ever they throw at you!

    SEALS!

  3. If you're joining the military just to get into the SEALs then I don't think you should do it. That is a big gamble because getting into the SEALs is very hard and you likely won't make it. But if you're fine with just being in the Navy and not a SEAL then go ahead. I'm just saying don't join just to become a SEAL because you have a slim chance of making it.

  4. The question isn't should, it's can you? If you can then go right ahead, more power to ya. I love SEALs, but if you can't take BUDs then don't even try.

  5. If that's what you want to do shoot for the sky man. If you can handle it do it.

  6. First off SEALs are NO joke. People on  here and regular civilians have no idea just how bad these guys are. Everyone that says they thing they can make it but it will be hard.....WRONG...its more like i know this is almost impossible so am i up for the challenge. Dont ask ppl on Y!A. They dont know you personally. Go with what you think. If your heart is truly saying yes then go for it and NEVER give up. Push yourself past the limit any average civilian would. Dont be scared going in. Go in confident and PAY ATTENTION TO DETAIL. That is a major thing with military but SEALs especially. I say go for it cause the more the better. Good Luck and HOOYAH!

  7. oh wow you dont have to run for hours or eat roadkill for breakfast hahahaha. what a douche. thats why we have this new and excited thing called RATIONS you jackass (not you,the guy who said something about roadkill for breakfast). heres all the requirements and what not for a seal. http://www.navy.com/about/navylife/ondut...

  8. You're asking my opinion and with an 80-85% drop out rate, I don't think you CAN do it, but you're certainly free to try it.

Discovery channel had a series on about BUDS class234, one of the recruits attempting his third tryout failed his second tryout because of injuries sustained on his first attempt, in total 7 years of BUDs class before he could even in.

Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but your attitude just sounds wrong, like you hesitating and stuttering"...errr.....umm.... should I do it?"

  9. You are not even in the navy yet ?and if you have to ask NO

  10. Can you run for four hours, shoot five moving targets, swim a mile back to the boat and eat road kill for breakfast?

  11. go for it!

great basic ground work for your future

  12. If you have to ask that question. You are not cut out to be a SEAL

  13. you should go for it the worst thing that could happen is you don't make it but just stay confident and hold your head up and i am sure you will be fine.

  14. Before you sign any papers, ask yourself why you want to be a seal. If you can't answer that question honestly and come up with the right answer. Then you will never finish the training.

Oh and so you can kick some *** is not the right answer.

  15. Firstly i would like to make a comment to the ID Blake D. I would be carefull with what you say as you really never know who is on line.

Getting back to your question dude. If you are motivated and mentaly prepared / up for the challenge then do it man. Best of luck

Oh just a tip do exactly what you are told when youre in BUDS, ask plenty of questions, keep your nose clean and do as best as you can. they are looking for more then muscle.
