Joining the U.S military?

Question

Can someone on a student visa in the U.S join the U.S military as a translator or something?

What are the requirements?

If I get a negative answer will this be a problem with my visa?

How long do you sign a contract for?

Can you tell me exactly who to contact?

well, not having the reg (regulation) in-front of me.. here is what i remember off the top of my head

you must have a current ins-551 card that is current within 6 months

you can be a translator if the vacancy exists and you qualify

you would sign a contract not exceeding 6 years

contact your local army recruiter
