Joint Problems?

Recently I began playing football for my 4th Year. Will doing my situps I heard crunching in my knees and my sholder has been hurting. When I grow up I would like to be a doctor and as I know of cartlidge provides as cushion and softness for the knee joints, but (1) I am obese 195 at 13 and my mother has larthritis which brought by her lupus. Could I have it ?

  1. Lupus is very rare in males.  That being said it does occur.  Are you exhibiting any other signs of Lupus other than joint pain?  Being overweight can cause pain in the joints as well as cracking and instability.  Best thing to do is try to take some weight off and if the joint pain persists then you  may want to look for other answers.  You can ask your doctor to give you an ANA blood test which could help in a diagnosis but I would most likely assume that your weight is causing most of your problems.  (One last thing, Football causes joint pain...hitting hurts :)


  2. Don't know about your health problems but, to be a doctor, you firstly have to know how to spell, so you'd better work on that.
