Question:

Joint Venture Problems..HELP?

I have a very exciting joint venture proposal for any restaurant. I have been going after the large franchises in Canada but I haven't even been able to contact anyone.

I have sent emails, called, left messages. All I have been trying to get at this point is the contact information of who I should be talking to regarding a joint venture proposal and I haven't even gotten that far. I am starting to get very frustrated.

I am just wondering if anyone has any advice or experience in joint venture proposal's or contacts in this industry that could help me out?

Thanks in advance...

  1. Most investors money was tied to real estate.  That industry is experiencing a 60% foreclosure rate.  Do the math!  Most investors posture, but won't tell you how broke they are.

I had a client yesterday tell me that his home was just sold in foreclosure so now he can't pay me.  He "required" a written proposal for my services and a detailed contract, that took three weeks time to develop.  Yet he KNEW that his ship was sinking a looooong time ago.  Why then would he waste my time?

The reason you are not getting any response is not that your proposal is bad.  It is because the people you are sending it to are doing worse off than you.  They are doing you a BIG favor not bothering you with their mess!

  2. you need to have a Business Plan first before anyone will take you seriously - very hard to get any new ideas accepted by a franchise chain if you are an outsider
