Joint favourites Farloe Kyle and Skywalker Louie aiming to conquer the Grade OR The Owlerton Bookmakers Standard
The Grade OR The Owlerton Bookmakers Standard is creating a buzz at Sheffield. This event will be held on 17th April, 2012, at 21:02 GMT, where six participants will compete for £200 over a distance of 500 metres.
Farloe Kyle and Skywalker Louie are the two key elements, which makes this event even more exciting. These hounds will be race as joint favourites with the odds of 9 to 4.
Skywalker Louie, trained by E. Parker, bagged a victory in the Grade OR Dransfield Trophy Stakes at Sheffield on 18th March, 2012. He raced as a favourite with the odds of 2 to 7, and defeated, Elwick Regatta, by 2 lengths in
28.80 seconds.
After this performance, the son of Top Honcho, out of Synone Starlight, lost his composure slightly. He finished fifth in the Grade OR Bettor.com Scottish Derby 2012 2nd Round Heat 2 at Shawfield on 3rd April, 2012.
He finished fifth again in the Grade OR Owlerton Stadium Celebrating 80 Years Of Greyhound Racing at Sheffield on 10th April, 2012. He covered the distance in 29.08 seconds, whereas the winner, Head Iton Hayesy, completed the
course in 28.93 seconds.
Farloe Kyle, son of Hondo Black, out of Farloe Reserve, has been performing exceedingly well this season. He finished as a runner-up in the Grade OR Carling Chrome 3 Steps To Victory - 1st Semi-final at Sheffield on 3rd April, 2012.
Despite his best effort, he fell ½ a length short of the winner, Rockburst Pearl.
He triumphed in the Grade OR Heat 6 at Sheffield on 27th March, 2012. He raced with the odds of 11 to 4, and finished 1 ¾ lengths ahead of, Nyla Fantasy.
He succeeded over, Magna Monkey, at Sheffield on 12th January, 2012 by a massive margin of 5 lengths in a race that ran over distance of 500 metres, which he covered in 29.50 seconds.
The B. Draper hound is familiar with the track at Sheffield, as he ran here for most of his career. He is not one of the experienced runners who will take the track today, but he has raced over this track several times, a crucial stat that would tower
over other competitors.
Between these two competitors, breaking from trap number 4, Farloe Kyle looks like he has a better chance of winning.
Skywalker Louie is a tough competitor who will not admit defeat easily in this race. It will be a close race with both these hounds fighting for a finish in first place.
