Joints popping on baby?

Question

I have a 3 month old. She can hold her head up pretty well now, so I pick her up under her arms (or in that general area). Sometimes I can hear her shoulders pop. Is that normal? If so, is this ok for the baby?

i think that you should stop that at once you can really hurt the baby like that

I think you should take baby to the doctor to have it checked. I know they check the hips for that type of thing but Im not sure of the shoulders. Hope its all ok.

My son's shoulders used to do that too, I hated that!! He is now 11 months and doesn't have any problems, and no more popping :) Mention it at the next appointment just to be sure! Good luck

my son is 7 months and his shoulders still do this...it has happened since he was born...my husband freaks when it happens but pediatrician said he is perfectly fine....hope this helps!!
