Manchester City defender Joleon Lescott believes Micah Richards can easily go on to be the best right back in the world.
Lescott believes his City and England international team mate has been in exceptional form over the course of the last few months and should be maintain this form, it is only a matter of time before he makes a name for himself on the global stage.
The defender was back to his best this past weekend, as he helped City end Newcastle United’s winning streak, following a sturdy defensive performance and a brilliant goal to top off the game. During the game, Richards was phenomenal to say the least.
He was brilliant at ending any and all Newcastle attacks, while he was brilliant at going forward and helping out his team every now and then.
Lescott is amongst the City players who seem to be highly impressed with the way Richards has been developing and when talking about the player, the centre back is quoted to have said: "Micah has been in immense form all season"
"His confidence is really high. He is in the best form of his career and has the world at his feet.
"I would say he is the best right-back in the league just now. If he continues this form he will be the best in the world."
Lescott then went on to turn his attention to the England squad and went on to admit that he is highly delighted to be a part of the national team.
The defender expressed his delight with being a part of the squad that took on Spain, but still insisted that City was where he earned his bread and butter. As a result, he has admitted that his performances need to be their best for City, or he might not
get a call up to the national squad at all.
Lescott then went on to add: "It is nice to be involved with England"

"I know if I don't play well for Manchester City I won't be getting picked with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749."
Lescott and Richards have both been performing exceptionally well for City and it is only a matter of time, before both of them become regular members of the England squad and take their club form to the international stage.
