Jon Fitch is training hard and will make impact soon; says trainer Dave Camarillo – UFC News
The 33-year-old American mixed martial art (MMA) fighter, Jon Fitch, has been on a winning run since January 2009. He has won five straight fights after his loss to Georges St.Pierre at UFC 87 in August 2008. Prior to his fight,
he won sixteen consecutive fights giving him the chance to compete in a welterweight title bout. Recently, his trainer, Dave Camarillo has spoken to the media about Fitch’s fighting style, citing his techniques are correct and fans should understand what he
does in the ring.

Camarillo supported his trainee for more than one reason. According to reports, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and MMA fans, along with critics, have looked at Fitch for not being an aggressive fighter. Camarillo also mentioned that fans think Fitch is
not an exciting fighter but maintains a low profile in the ring. The opinion of fans’ regarding Fitch being a fighter not going for the kill in his matches was also discussed when Camarillo sat down in a recent interview for a sports website.

According to Camarillo, Fitch is a fighter who has come a long way in his career. He has won straight fights which shows his resiliency and fighting spirit. Camarillo thinks that winning is not everything at the moment and that hard work is what makes a fighter
great. He also said that Fitch has been training hard in the gym to keep himself in best shape. His entire physical form is natural as he does not take support from supplements and drugs. If fans or critics think Fitch has not made a mark in the MMA, then
they are wrong, because he has been working with dedication in the recent past few months.

While talking about Fitch not being a fighter who goes for a finish, Camarillo explained the way Fitch is preparing himself as a an combative fighter. Over the years Fitch has won his fights with unanimous decisions which shows he stays on the defensive throughout
his career. Camarillo has given a hint that Fitch will show a better side when he will step back into the UFC octagon ring. After his fight against B.J. Penn at UFC 127 in February 2011, Fitch did not have any match. After a lapse of ten months he will make
his return at UFC 141 where he will face Johny Hendricks in the welterweight bout set for the main card of the event.
