Jon Jones has no plans to fight Anderson Silva – UFC News

Jon Jones has finally put an end to speculations regarding his possible bout against Anderson Silva. While most fans were looking forward to both the best in the business fighters taking on each other, Jones insists he will not go for it.

When asked, Jones said, “Man my man ‪#AndersonSilva went to work tonight, consistently amazing. I guess Anderson said he had no interest in fighting me at tonight's press conference, I feel the same way about him. Nothing but respect.”

“@JonnyBones good see you bro see you soon.”

Jon Jones and Anderson Silva both are the best fighters in UFC right now. They have reached the level of being called invincible by most officials, and a possible showdown between them will be the biggest event of the sport.

Silva went head to head with Chael Sonnen past Saturday, beating the American in the second round. It was the biggest fight of UFC to date, and despite the hefty claims made by Sonnen, Silva ruled the show. This was the second time Anderson Silva retained
his title against Sonnen. Previously, Silva defeated Sonnen by just mere seconds. However, this time Silva defeated Sonnen in the second round via TKO.

Sonnen’s defeat came as a surprise, more like a shock, to most UFC fans and analysts. Most of them believed Sonnen could beat Silva, but things did not quite work out.

For now, Anderson Silva has invited Chael Sonnen for a barbeque at his place. Interestingly, even Silva was shocked over the way Sonnen gave up in the ring. Even the champion was expecting a tougher fight than what Sonnen put up.

Silva promised fans that he would break Sonnen’s limbs, which will change the history of the sport. Neither Sonnen nor Silva lived up to his promise, but Silva ensured victory. As of now, the UFC middleweight champion appreciates Sonnen for being the toughest
contender he has met yet believes he is better than anyone who has stepped in the ring at the middleweight level.

A third bout between Sonnen and Silva is highly unlikely since fans are already disappointed over the way Sonnen gave up and could not fight back.
