West Brom defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonas-c18967 Olsson says that he is not a fan of video technology in football and says that ‘human factor’ is crucial, despite losing to Arsenal amidst a dubious penalty decision.
The game had ended in dramatic and controversial manner where West Brom will feel that they were dealt a poor hand. The Baggies had not been spectacular on the day, and things could’ve been much worse as they ended up losing 2-0 at the Emirates.
Arsenal were awarded two penalties on either side of half time and had secured all 3 points at the expense of Steve Clarke’s men.
The first incident occurred when Santi Cazorla was brought down in the box. The referee immediately pointed towards the spot and awarded Arsenal the penalty.
On second viewing, it was clear that there had been no contact and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mikel-Arteta-c25715 stepped up to convert the penalty and gave the home side the lead, which many will say they fully deserved due
to their domination in midfield.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 had been guilty of spurning chances, but were by far the better team. West Brom only registered on shot on target the entire game, and despite the decisions, did not show a good account of themselves.
The second decision was also a bit dubious in the follow up to it; however there was no doubt that Oxlade-Chamberlain had been brought down by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chris-c9006 Brunt. Arsenal scored again from the spot and by then, it was too late for West Brom to do anything about
it.
Baggies defender Jonas Olsson says that he would be opposed to video replays being introduced in-game to help referees make proper decisions regarding penalties and fouls.  The player said:
“There needs to be a space for the human factor. Goal line technology is fair enough. But you need to keep the momentum. That’s why the league is so good because of the tempo and pace, and if you challenge too many decisions you lose that.”
“In most cases it’ll even out throughout the season even though you’re disappointed afterwards.”
