Question:

Jonathan Broxton future full time Dodgers closer?

Is the consensus in DodgerLand that Broxton closing in Saito's absence now is a precursor to him being the full-time future closer of the team?

Given Saito's age, could be next year?

Thanks for the help

  1. Broxton has great stuff and is improving. Saito is old and his stuff is starting to decline. He has a chance of becoming the closer in the next few years, but I don't think next year. Saito's still a little bit better.

  2. If all goes well with Saito and he doesn't have any serious injuries, I think Broxton will have the job in two years. He still has a lot to learn and he's young, last year come September he self destructed and was blowing almost every lead he had. A couple more season as a set up guy will do him good

  3. i think he's scheduled to be the future starter.  While he has the stuff to be a closer, i don't think he's closer material.
