Liverpool’s reserve goalkeeper, Brad Jones expressed his delight of playing a part in his side’s FA Cup semi-final triumph against Everton, and was hopeful that they could bag a cup-double this season.
The Reds made a comeback in the semi-final after conceding a first half goal, but Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll came to the rescue for the team. Both the strikers bagged a goal apiece, to send their side through to the final.

However, Liverpool’s third choice goalkeeper played his part well in the last two games, as he only conceded a single goal against the Toffees and saved a penalty kick from Yakubu, with his first touch of the game against Blackburn.
He has only made four appearances for the Reds in total, since arriving at Anfield from Middlesbrough in 2010.

The Liverpool fans have been unbelievable. I'm not the most important player at the club but they treat me really well and I can't thank

He also underlined that the keepers on the bench don’t get enough playing time in competitive games, but they need to be ready at all times. He admitted that he was under pressure during the game against the Toffees, but praised his defenders for making
