Joneys Taj favourite for the 483 metres flat race at Doncaster
Joneys Taj has won pretty decent odds for the 483 metres flat race at Doncaster in England on Saturday, April 21, 2012. The triumphant greyhound will walk away with a cash prize of £30.
The stamina of all runners will be tested, as they will have to cover an overall distance of 483 metres in the race, which is scheduled to start at 19:30 GMT. The entries confirmed for the event are: Joneys Taj, Greenhaw Kidz, Tirnoney Hawk, Faithful
Frank, Westeve Tottie and Sparrowhawk.
The bookmakers have full confidence in the abilities of Joneys Taj, despite the fact that he has been unable to deliver winning results over the past few months. His recent form might discourage the punters to some extent, but they might still risk
some money in his favour.
In his most recent outing, the S. Nicklin’s trainee finished third overall. He was not rated as favourite back then and he failed to challenge the top two finishers. He could have done a lot better, but ran out of gas towards the end.
Despite that, the brindle hound will be the one to watch out for at Doncaster, as he has the tools to challenge his opponents in this class. However, he will need to push extremely hard in order to do so. He is the son of Westmead Joe out of Tally
Ho Chorus and January 2009.
On the other hand, Greenhaw Kidz has the potential to spoil Joneys Taj’s party. He is a regular at this venue, thus will have complete knowledge of the track conditions. Although his performances have been pretty decent, victories have dried up for
him in the recent past.
The J. Irving’s trained runner finished fourth in his previous outing. He was given decent odds for that event, but failed to make an impression in the end. Due to this, the bettors will be discouraged to risk money in his favour.
Other than the top two favourites, Tirnoney Hawk will also be the one to watch out for, as she is also capable of leading the pack. However, she is not carrying good rhythm at the moment, thus it will not be an easy task for her to challenge her opponents.
