http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jonny-Evans-c19085 started once again for Manchester United in their latest win in the English Premier League as the Red Devils leapfrogged Manchester City to the top of the table with a three point advantage over their rivals. Evans
was superb in central defence as United kept another clean sheet but there was controversy at the end of the match when Fulham were denied a penalty kick by the referee, something that was also acknowledged in the post-match comments by Sir http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson.
Ferguson’s team are now the favourites to clinch their 20th league title in English football but they still have to play against Manchester City at the Etihad stadium at the end of April, a tie that might decide the
destination of the Premier League trophy. United were beaten 6-1 at the start of the season by City at Old Trafford but there are chances that the title race will be over even before the Manchester derby considering City’s lack of form.
Evans said, "It’s a great result for us but we were a bit disappointed with the performance. We’ve managed to grind out a 1-0 victory and it puts us top of the league again. It would be nice to get more goals but looking back on
the game we’re just delighted to get the three points after the performance we put in wasn’t up to our usual standard.”
He added, "The last home game against West Brom we had to wait till about the 35-minute mark but it was similar today in that we had to be patient to get the goal and it was just unfortunate that we didn’t manage to go on and get
another couple of goals. Yeah you have a quick look to the referee. He’s waved it away but having seen it back again I think he could’ve given a penalty for it."
