Jonny Flynn, Al Harrington - NBA players who may appear on the trade scene next season (Part 4)
7. Jonny Flynn
Houston Rockets landed Donatas Motiejunas and Jonny Flynn after a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves in June. The Rockets were more interested in acquiring Motiejunas, but Flynn was a part of deal so they had to bring him in
as well.
Flynn is a point guard and Rockets are no short in this department, as they already have the services of Kyle Lorry and Goran Dragic. Both Lorry and Dragic had proved their worth and showed progress in the previous season in their
respective departments.
So this makes Flynn the odd man out of the pack. In addition to that what really makes the Rockets unhappy about Flynn was his attitude, which was pretty disappointing. So there is a high probability that the Rockets would look
to trade Flynn away, just as the seasons kicks off.
8. Al Harrington
One of the teams that had yet to make a lot of decisions regarding keeping and shifting their players is Denver Nuggets. As most of their key players, like Wilson Chandler and J.R. Smith are close to their retirement. While the
fate of Nene Hilario, Arron Afflalo and Kenyon Martin are far-off from resolute.
At this stage when it seems that the star players of the Nuggets didn’t have much seasons left in them the best option for them is to start a rebuilding process. The best candidate to trade away in their line-up is 31 year old
Al Harrington.
Because, if the franchise gets fresh talent in exchange for Harrington, the star veterans would help these young players to tweak their game. So in this way when the veterans will depart they wouldn’t leave a big hole behind them
and it would make things easier for the Nuggets to manage.
