Jonny Flynn could return on Wednesday for Minnesota Timberwolves

The Minnesota Timberwolves are having a lot of problems with their injury-riddled backcourt, but they are set to get a boost after news came out that Jonny Flynn could make his season debut on Wednesday 17
November.

Flynn missed the team’s first nine games this season after undergoing a hip surgery during the off-season, but Minnesota president of basketball operations David Kahn revealed that the sixth overall pick
in the 2009 NBA draft is already back in playing shape.
Kahn also added that he has also talked with Flynn regarding the development, and the young point guard expressed his excitement on making his season debut against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Syracuse
standout is also very eager to help the Timberwolves bounce back from a 2-7 start.

Timberwolves head coach Kurt Rambis also confirmed that the 21-year-old guard is fired up and ready to go, although he admitted that he would not give him a lot of playing time as precautionary measure because
they can’t afford to lose him again.

“He’s all fired up ready to go,” Rambis said. “He’s seeing a lot of things, just going through practice now and watching games and everything. I hope that sitting down will be a good thing for him. It is
an unfortunate thing that happened. But hopefully it’ll turn out to be a benefit.”

On the other hand, the Timberwolves, who won their previous game against the Sacramento Kings behind Michael Beasley’s 42 points, are also evaluating the condition of Luke Ridnour, who is also out because
of strained hamstring.

Ridnour, who missed their last two games, will be re-evaluated next week, and they will have to make do with the only point guard left in their roster, Sebastian Telfair, when they take on the New York Knicks
of Friday 12 November.

Minnesota are also reportedly looking to add another point guard and have worked out Sundiata Gaines, Curtis Jerrells, Trey Johnson, and Aaron Miles before their game against the Sacramento Kings, but none
was signed.
