The FC Twente president and head coach expressed their anger at the Newcastle and Borussia Monchengladbach target following the striker’s recent statement over his summer transfer.

The 21-year-old striker, who has been plying his trade at De Grolsch Veste since joining the Eredivisie outfit from De Graafschap in the summer of 2009, recently blasted the Tukkers management for not negotiating properly with
interested clubs, who are eager to sign him this summer.
Newcastle United, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Borussia Monchengladbach have reportedly expressed their desire to lure the promising young striker away from De Grolsch Veste before the 2012/13 season commences, with the Bundesliga side said to
be his preferred destination.
However, Munsterman has now confirmed that his side have yet to talk with Die Fohlen, while insisting that the Dutch international must continue playing at the 2009/10 Eredivisie champions.
“We have not been in talks with Borussia Monchengladbach. Why would I have spoken to them? Luuk de Jong has signed a contract with FC Twente and he must continue to train and play matches. Nothing else”, the club president was
quoted as saying to De Telegraaf.
Meanwhile, the Enschede giants boss, who returned to take the reins of FC Twente earlier this year, has expressed his dismay over the Dutch hit-man’s behaviour regarding his summer move.
“This is incredible. I never expected this situation. It is totally unnecessary. It is only the beginning of July. We have two months of this”, McClaren said while talking to journalists.
De Jong, who has thus far represented the Tukkers in 76 Eredivisie games, netting 39 goals while providing a bagful of assists, had an extraordinary 2011/12 campaign.
The talented youngster, who has an ongoing contract at De Grolsch Veste that runs until the summer of 2014, netted an impressive 25 goals while setting up eight more in 32 league appearances.
Several clubs are taking keen interest in signing De Jong this summer. However, Munsterman and McClaren’s recent statement has made it clear that the club does not want to let go of their prized asset in the current summer transfer
window.
