Jorda Harrison clinches 1500m freestyle title - Australia State Teams Age Group SC Championships
Jorda Harrison impressed the arena with her matchless effort on day three of the 2011 Australia State Teams Age Group Short Course Championships in Canberra, Australia, on Monday, September, 19. The session of the championships conducted the Boys 16-17 years
old 1500m freestyle and Girls 13-14 years old 200m butterfly final heats.
In the Boys 16-17 years old 1500m freestyle final heat, Jorda Harrison of Queensland hit the finishing wall in 15 minutes and 18.36 seconds to win gold medal on the podium. In the corresponding race, Jarrod Poort of New South Wales secured silver medal in
the stage by submitting a winning time of 15 minutes and 19.39 seconds. Benj Schreiner of VIC earned bronze in a time of 16 minutes and 02.15 seconds.
Adrian Waydock of SA finished fourth in a time of 16 minutes and 02.16 seconds, while Lynd Goldsmith of WA was placed fifth in 16 minutes and 09.31 seconds. Ridge Grimsey of QLD earned sixth spot in a time of 16 minutes and 13.80 seconds, whereas, Ryan Evernden
of WA was placed seventh in 16 minutes and 18.51 seconds. Brando Bennier of WA earned eight place honours in a time of 17 minutes and 07.08 seconds.
In another race, Meg Bailey of NSW came out strongly in the Girls 13-14 years old 200m butterfly final heat and secured golden crown on the podium by posting a winning time of 2 minutes and 14.39 seconds. In the corresponding race, Brooke Krause of QLD earned
silver medal in a time of 2 minutes and 17.58 seconds. Elise Pidutti of NSW settled for bronze in a time of 2 minutes and 19.53 seconds.
Lucy Tabrett of NSW finished fourth in 2 minutes and 22.17 seconds, while Chelse Gubecka of QLD earned fifth spot in a time of 2 minutes and 22.98 seconds. Alexandra Good of VIC settled sixth in a time of 2 minutes and 23.50 seconds, whereas, Darian Murray
of WA wound up seventh in 2 minutes and 24.13 seconds. Micaela Habib of SA wound up eighth in a time of 2 minutes and 24.68 seconds.
