Jordan Coelho earns Men’s 200m butterfly gold: 2012 French Short Course Nationals
Jordan Coelho of Etampes Natation earned gold medal of the Men’s 200m butterfly on day three of 2012 French Short Course Nationals on Saturday, November 17.
Coelho crushed hopes of his opponents in the distant butterfly discipline and proved his mettle for gold medal. With his unmatchable pace in the 200m discipline, Coelho lived up to the expectations of his supporters and surfaced on the finishing end for gold medal.
Coelho demonstrated his astonishing efforts in the eight-lap discipline and transpired on the finishing end for gold medal with a timing of 1 minute and 54.10 seconds.
The champion was followed by Hugo Tormento of CN Caledoniens, who was 2.73 seconds slower and tapped the wall for second position by producing an effort of 1 minute and 56.83 seconds.
Third spot of the event was obtained by Marvin Maisonneuve of Montauban Natation, who stayed 0.99 seconds behind and stepped on the victory stand by reporting a time of 1 minute and 57.82 seconds.
Maisonneuve was followed by Thomas Vilaceca of Montauban Natation, who was 0.08 seconds slower and surfaced on the finishing end for fourth place by posting a time of 1 minute and 57.90 seconds.
Fifth fastest spot of the race was obtained by Paul Lemaire of Dauphins Toulouse OEC, who was 0.63 seconds behind and tapped the wall with an effort of 1 minute and 58.53 seconds.
Lemaire was traced by Anthony Denis of CA Orsay, who suffered a deficit of two body lengths and concluded his race in sixth place by posting a time of 2 minutes and 00.62 seconds.
Denis was followed by Romain Mrowinski of CN Cevennes Ales, who stayed one and a half body length away from his former finisher and touched the wall with a timing of 2 minutes and 02.38 seconds for seventh place.
Last spot of the event was obtained by Maxime Jacomelli of Forbach Agglomeration Natation, who was 0.40 seconds behind and clocked a time of 2 minutes and 02.78 seconds.
Furthermore, Coelho received a huge round of applause from the audience for his notable efforts and collected medal after the race.
