Jordan Harrison wins three gold medals at the 2011 Australian Age Championships
Jordan Harrison of Miami QLD captured three gold medals at the 2011 Australian Age Championships and received a huge round of applause from the crowd at the SA Aquatic and Leisure Centre in Adelaide, last week.
Harrison took home the Boy’s 15 years 400m freestyle title with a sterling time of 3:57.04 minutes, while L Sweeney of QLD and S Maloney of NSW wound up second with a time of 4:06.11 minutes.
In the Boy’s 15 years 1500m freestyle final, he picked up the top seed with a sterling time of 15:42.06 minutes, while S Maloney was placed second with a 16:15.11 minutes and J Pye of QLD earned third spot in 16:16.75 minutes.
Fabulously, Harrison nabbed his third gold title in the 200m back-stroke with a winning time of 2:05.73 minutes. On the other hand, B Ashby of New Zealand grabbed the silver title with a 2:07.04 minutes effort and R Leong of QLD finished third in a time
of 2:08.74 minutes.
In the Boy’s 15 years 50m freestyle final, A Press of QLD took home the golden crown with a stunning time of 23.15 seconds. In the meantime, his team-mate, R Leong snared the silver medal with a 23.35 seconds effort and A Graham of VIC settled third in a
time of 23.58 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Boy’s 15 years 100m freestyle title was taken over by A Graham with a winning time of 51.15 seconds. R Leong of QLD won the silver medal in 51.64 seconds and J Currie of VIC finished third in a time of 52.30 seconds.
Next, the Boy’s 15 years 200m freestyle title was clinched by A Graham of VIC with a fascinating time of 1:51.02 minutes, while R Leong of QLD earned second spot in 1:52.72 minutes. His team-mate, J Harrison settled third in 1:54.14 minutes.
R Leong won the Boy’s 15 years 100m back-stroke title with the fastest time of 58.38 seconds, while J King of NSW took home the Boy’s 100m breast-stroke crown with an incredible time of 1:05.87 minutes.
In the 200m breast-stroke final, G Schroder of New Zealand picked up the gold title, while N Robertson of NSW snatched the 100m butterfly crown with the fastest time of 55.84 seconds. On the other hand, Muggeridge of QLD won the 200m Individual Medley title
with a sterling time of 2:08.74 minutes, while L Cuneen of NSW snared silver with a 2:09.43 minutes effort. A Williams of QLD wound up third in 2:11.44 minutes.
Finally, B Ashby of New Zealand took home the Boy’s 15 years 400m Individual Medley title with a matchless time of 4:34.04 minutes. Meanwhile, A Lau of USA nabbed silver in 4:35.44 minutes and A Guerzoni of TAS earned bronze with a 4:35.56 minutes effort.
