Following Liverpool’s win in the Carling Cup, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordan-Henderson-c19102 has urged his team to go on and win more silverware in the future.
The Reds took on Cardiff in the Carling Cup finals and following a two all draw at the end of extra time, the match went into a penalty shootout.
Liverpool went on to win the shoot out by three goals to two, which saw them lift their first trophy in six years.
The penalty shootout was won in a rather humorous manner, as both the Gerrards playing missed their penalty. First http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Steven-Gerrard-c34196 missed with his spot kick and then his cousin, who was representing Cardiff went on to miss his kick,
which saw his side lose.
Henderson, who joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 at the start of the season is rather delighted with the way his side went on to win the match and believes that the win will see Liverpool go on and lift more trophies in the future.
The midfielder is quoted to have said: “It is obviously a great feeling”
“I will never forget the achievement that we achieved yesterday so it was a massive day for everyone involved and one we will never forget.”
When talking about this wins impact on the team, he went on to add:
“It was an amazing feeling, a great day and it is hard to put into words, but it was an emotional feeling after the game and hopefully there will be many more."
Liverpool are currently still in contention to win the FA Cup and many believe the team can go on and win another trophy, should they maintain their focus and avoid any slip ups in their upcoming games.
However, that being said, most of the team has admitted that they would much rather finish in the top four and this could have a massive impact on their performances in their cup competitions.
Nonetheless, if Dalglish can get his side to balance their priorities and get them to focus on a top four finish, along with winning the FA Cup, the Reds could go on and have one of their most successful seasons.
