The Spanish full-back joined Barcelona during the summer transfer window and recently spoke about how well he has managed to settle at the Nou Camp after departing from Valencia.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 signed one of the best full-backs in the transfer market, as they managed to steal Jordi Alba away from Valencia.
Alba used to play at La Masia and he was one of their graduates as he joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 later on.
Not many considered http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jordi-Alba-c19111 to be an exquisite talent at the Nou Camp, as he joined Valencia at the Mestalla and was considered to be a left winger.
Barcelona trained him to become a winger, and he was not considered to play in the attacking role at the Catalan club.
However, after joining Valencia from Barcelona, Jordi Alba transformed from being a left midfielder to a left back.
The former Valencia coach, Unai Emery, decided to play Alba as a left-back and the plan worked out perfectly as he was able to showcase his talent in the new-found position.
He managed to become such an extraordinary left-back that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Del Bosque did not waste much time to make him a first-choice full-back for the Spanish national team which played in the Euro 2012.
Since he played for the Spanish national team, he knew most of the players at the Nou Camp and while speaking about settling in at the Catalan club, Jordi Alba said:
“I knew a lot of the players already and have adapted well. I spent seven years at the club as a youngster, so I am very happy to come home. Valencia was a great opportunity to grow as a player, but being at the best team in the world, with my family and
friends is helping a lot.”
Since Alba is not getting a lot of time on the pitch while playing for La Blaugrana, the Spanish full-back said:
“I just want to play as much as possible. The competition in the squad is great, I'm aware of that. I'm just counting on the coach to give me minutes and a regular place in the team.”
Alba is currently out on international duty and will be joining Barcelona soon. The Spanish national team will be playing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Georgia-c2903 on 11th September 2012.
