Most recently, the Spanish full-back, Jordi Alba, has come out in the open and has directly taken a jibe at the Portuguese mentor, Jose Mourinho, who he thinks is quite unimportant when it comes to Barcelona.
Alba stated that the no matter what the Portuguese mentor says about Barcelona, and no matter what his stance is on a particular problem, the players in the Barcelona locker-room do not really care about what he has to say.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 star’s most recent comments came in the wake of Jose Mourinho’s interview in which he somehow directed his words towards Barcelona and stated that they have more control over their calendar as compared to Real Madrid.
While speaking about this particular topic, Jordi Alba stated that La Blaugrana do not even think about it and it is totally okay even if the comments were directed towards Barcelona.
“We don’t pay too much attention to it. I do not know if it was our team referred to in these references but I’m just thinking of us because we have a good dynamic.”
Jordi Alba also spoke about Barcelona’s chances to win the Spanish La Liga this season. He was questioned whether Real Madrid or Atletico Madrid have a chance to win the domestic league this season, but Alba was full of confidence and openly stated that
La Blaugrana are currently eleven points above Real Madrid, and are favourites to win the title.
However, he also warned his team against complacency and stated that they should not be taking this gap for granted.
“Who do I prefer to win, Atletico or Real? Barca, I want us to win. We are 11 points ahead of Real but we can’t trust in that. We are only three points ahead of Atletico.”
Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid will face each other next week.
