Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory Racing says they will try to fight for win at Misano – MotoGP news
Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory Racing says they will try to fight for the win at the upcoming Italian Grand Prix at Misano.
He added that they found something at the Aragon test, which can give them more speed but they will not use that at the Italian Grand Prix.
Their bike will be the same as it was at the Czech Republic Grand Prix and they will try to fight for the first position in the race.
He said that until now, they have achieved their position with consistency by making it to the first two positions. He believes that the Misano will be lucky for him as it has always been, since the last four years.
Lorenzo said, “This year we’ve been very constant, always in the first two positions. The last three races we couldn’t win, but were very close. Now we arrive in this track, which for us has been pretty good for the last four years I think. I was in second
the first three years, and last year I could finally get the victory.”
Furthermore, he told that they were able to win the race at Misano, in the last 2011 season, after ending the race as runner-up for three consecutive times.
Talking about the private test session at Aragon he told that they found something which can increase their speed slightly however they will not be using it at the Italian GP. Despite being unable to use their discovery they will try to win the race. They
expect that they will be able to get an improved bike at Aragon.
“In Aragón [test] we found something that gives us a little bit more speed - actually we found it in Brno - but we can’t use the last engine, so we’ll have the same engine and bike as in Brno,” he added.
The Spanish rider finished the last three races he started at Czech Republic Grand Prix, Indianapolis Grand Prix and United States Grand Prix, as runner-up. He finished the Italian Grand Prix at the Mugello circuit as winner.
Being unable to win any of the last three grands prix, the championship gap of Lorenzo has decreased to 13 only.
Let’s see will he be able to widen the gap for his old Spanish rival, Dani Pedrosa or it will further reduce at the championship leader’s ‘lucky’ circuit.
