Jorge Lorenzo says he will try to finish as high as he can in remainder of the season – MotoGP news
Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory Racing told that Dani Pedrosa’s Honda machine is doing great over the circuit and it would be very difficult to beat him in the remainder of the season.
However, he said he will try his best to finish as high as possible. Furthermore, he expects that he might be able to win the next two races in the season.
The Yamaha Factory Racing driver told that Honda is doing impressively over the circuit and it would be hard to beat Dani Pedrosa on regular basis. He added that the things have grown more challenging but they do not remain same throughout.
Lorenzo said, “Since Laguna Seca, Dani and his bike proved really strong and for us it's harder to beat him on a regular basis as it was the case in the early stages of the season, when we were able to build a solid lead in the Championship.”
He further believes that it useless trying to win races when the bike is not performing convincingly. They tried to win the last two races but they could not however they will keep trying but it will be harder to attain victory. He told that he would be
trying to finish as high as he can in the remainder of the season but winning races is anticipated to be a difficult task.
“I tried but couldn't win the last two races but I might be able to win the next two… and if I can't I'll just have to make sure I finish as high as I can,” he added.
The championship leader added that he is comparatively calm about winning the championship because it is not about winning first championship. This calmness has resulted in reducing his nervousness over the circuit. He added that he has great memories from
the Sepang circuit and anticipates that it will be the same in the current 2012 season as well.
The championship title has been revolving in the hands of old rival Lorenzo and Pedrosa. Mathematically, Lorenzo has won the championship if he manages to finish the race at least at 2nd position.
Let’s see how he finishes the championship because Casey Stoner of Repsol Honda is also making impressive performances over the circuit and he can force Lorenzo dropping to the 3rd position in the remaining race which can result in loosing precious championship
points for him.
