Jorge Lorenzo says they have to play their cards in best possible way at Motegi – MotoGP news
Jorge Lorenzo of Yamaha Factory Racing is looking to add 25 more points to championship lead at the Japanese Grand Prix while his teammate Ben Spies expects to remain lucky at Motegi unlike last year.
The championship leader is looking forward to add to his championship lead by winning the Japanese GP. He believes that their competitors are currently very strong over the circuit therefore they would have to tackle their strength with the best possible
strategy with their Yamaha machine.
Currently, the sole competitor of Lorenzo who is giving him a tough time during the races is Dani Pedrosa of Repsol Honda. Pedrosa has won the last 3 races out of the 4 he started.
Lorenzo said, “For sure it’s going to be difficult because our competitors at this moment of the season are very strong but we have to play our cards in the best possible way. Motegi is a track that I like, I won here in 2009 and I think we can fight for
the win again this weekend.”
Ben Spies the other rider of Yamaha is looking forward towards the upcoming Japanese GP and anticipates that he will be able to complete the race at the Motegi circuit unlike the last year. Last year he was able to finish the race at the 6th position however
expects he that he will be able to produce further impressive results at the circuit.
Spies said, “I’m looking forward to the weekend. We had some bad luck last year on the first lap when Valentino crashed but we had really good pace.”
He told that he had some bad luck in the first lap at the Motegi circuit last year and anticipates that it will not happen in the upcoming. Besides, he wants to generate impressive results at the home circuit of his team, Yamaha.
Spies exhibited impressive performance in the Aragon Grand Prix by finishing the race at the 5th position after starting at the 4th grid. The results were achieved after a period of bad lucks in the last month.
