Jorge Lorenzo talks about Valentino Rossi’s statement - MotoGP News
The Ducati team rider Valentino Rossi stated at post-race test after the Estoril event that the new MotoGP riders’ breed is more like kids than real men, as compared to the 500cc era heroes.
Rossi made his statement after talks started from the incidents between Casey Stoner and Rossi, then Lorenzo and Marco Simoncelli in last season. Stoner complained after the accident they met in Spanish round, with eclipsed Stoner’s chances of victory on
race day.
On the other side, Jorge Lorenzo the championship point leader was complaining about the hard riding-tact on track of Simoncelli, when he pushed Lorenzo a little in last season’s Valencia race.
This time the issue was again brought back at the pre-race press meeting at Le Mans. The first question was asked to the experienced Grand Prix rider, Colin Edwards whether the statement was valid or not.
Edwards expressed his view about the gossip and said, “[Yes] they are just a bunch of pu**ies! No, I retract that statement. There's obviously been some statements in the press about this and that, but I'm still working on my pace to be up there with those
guys to talk sh*t about them!”
The young Spaniard, who has earned one victory and two podium places in the first three rounds of the 2011 season, was the centre-focus of Rossi’s statement and he was later asked about his views on the news.
Lorenzo was told that the statement was meant to say that the young riders were more like kids, to that he said, “I don't know. I guess it must be a little shame to be beaten by 'kids'. Every race...”
This was where the veteran, Edwards could not resist expressing his words and said, it is a kind of shame to be beaten by kids and, “I didn't even call them pu**ies!”
In the continuing war of words, Valentino Rossi waved off his latest encounter with Stoner, which called that the Aussie obstructed Rossi during the post-race test at Estoril. Rossi then claimed that it was not a matter to worry about, everything was all
right.
