The veteran Argentine has lauded the European champions, stating that their consistency in terms of achieving success sets them apart from all other sides.
Former Real Madrid player and official, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Valdano, has claimed that the Spanish national team is one of the best international sides of all time.
Valdano particularly appreciated the way that La Furia Roja have maintained their rate of success and have gone on to make history with their current exploits on the international stage.
The Reds recently became champions of Europe once again, after they were successful in defending the trophy they secured 4 years ago in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Switzerland-c3016.
Euro 2008 saw the Iberians break their 44-year trophy drought and win their second European Championship. It was marked as the start of a new era in football; as the Spaniards went on to dominate the world of football from there on.
Two years later, the European champions became world champions as they emerged triumphant from the FIFA World Cup 2010 in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/South-Africa-c757. Success in the most prestigious tournament in the world saw La Roja become even more dominant.
As a result, the Reds were tipped as heavy favourites to win this year’s Euro regardless of the fact that no other side has ever won two European Championships back-to-back.
This seemed like quite a challenge for Del Bosque’s men, however, they broke the record by becoming the first team to win two Euros consecutively.
Hence, while discussing their current achievements, Valdano maintained that the Spanish are amongst the very best in the world of football.
While talking to reporters, the retired Argentine was quoted as saying:
"I was excited by the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 are making me feel a similar way, but with more continuity.”
"To talk about mentality, you have to talk about training, about working with youths. This is where Spanish football is different from the competition - because of its work with the lower leagues.”
Spain’s next international challenge would come in the FIFA World Cup 2014 in Brazil. This time the Spaniards will hope to defend their title as the champions of the world.
