Jorge Valdano would like to see Madrid return to glory days
The former Real Madrid general manager, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Valdano, has recently addressed the press before Madrid’s meeting with Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga.
Valdano was made to quit from his http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684 at Santiago Bernabeu since Jose Mourinho himself wanted to be in charge of the club. However, despite leaving the club in this way, Valdano still loves his former team.
While giving an interview, Valdano raised his voice over the issue how Madrid fans and players start to hate Barcelona.
Moreover, Valdano also admitted how much he would love to see Madrid return back to the glory days when they were considered to be a big force in Europe and they were favourites to win all the tournaments they were a part of.
The match between Madrid and Barcelona usually ends up in a heated argument between the two sides. However, Valdano has recently urged his former team players and members to put all the hatred aside and try to use all their energy in beating the Spanish
Champions.
Valdano was expelled from his position as the General Manager of Real Madrid after he had a disagreement with the Portuguese coach, Jose Mourinho. Despite this, the Argentine is still cheering for Madrid before the game.
While talking about how he wants Madrid to return to the glory days, Valdano was quoted saying:
"Football is very passionate and I am more reflective since [leaving] Madrid. I would like to see Real return to glory days; I am in permanent debt to the club."
While Valdano was in charge of the club as a General Manager last season, Madrid had to face Barcelona in three different competitions.

Among all these tournaments, Madrid only managed to win the Copa Del Rey against Barcelona.
Despite all these losses, Valdano wants his former club to stop hating Josep Guardiola’s men and start concentrating on the game. He said:
"It's amazing what you intend to do at Madrid, with the tremendous challenge of [beating] Barcelona. Now, being from Madrid has not enabled me to hate Barcelona. Madrid should not give up, but their energy must be put into beating Barcelona, not hating them,"
he stated.
Barcelona are three points behind Real Madrid but Los Blancos still have a match in hand. The game is important for Barcelona in terms of catching up on their arch rivals.
