Jose Angel is hoping that he will get a rare start in the starting line-up when his team, Real Sociedad, play against the second division team, Cordoba, in the Copa del Rey tonight.
The left back has got little action in the first team since his arrival at the club on loan from the Italian side, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603. He has made only five La Liga appearances so far but nonetheless he is hoping to get his chance against Cordoba in the Copa Del Rey.
Angel admits that he doesn’t know whether he will start or not in tonight's match but that he will respect his coach’s decision.
“I don't know if the Coach will count on me in the cup. But hopefully I can have the option to start. Whatever he decides I will abide by it, and what's important is that the team wins.
The 23-year-old is surprised that he is not starting more for Sociedad since he was expecting to get more playing minutes under his belt following his arrival at the club.
“I would be lying if I said I did not expect to play more minutes.”
However, he admits that although he expected to be featuring more for his club but at the same time he knew that it was going to be tough for him to adjust and break into the team quickly.
“Of course I thought I'd play more. But I knew I was coming to a team with an established base and it would be difficult to fit in.”
Moreover, the youngster also commented on his life at the city of San Sebastian and has revealed that he is enjoying his life with his girl friend.
He also hinted at his frustration of not getting more playing time and suggested that if the Basque club doesn’t take advantage of his services then he will be happy to go back to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926.
“I'm living with my girlfriend and it's a spectacular city to be in. We are delighted, but if Real don't exercise their option and I have to go back to Rome, I will be at ease.”
Real Sociedad will be hoping to end their third consecutive winless streak when they face Cordoba tonight.
