The AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 defender declares that he will leave the Giallorossi if he receives a call from Camp Nou, insists the Catalonian’s interest is a matter of honour for him.
Jose Angel has voiced his love for Barcelona, stating that he will leave Rome for Catalonia, if the Spanish giants were to make a bid for his services.
Reports have linked the Giallorossi left-back with the Blaugrana for over a year, and the young player is anxiously waiting for an offer to arrive from the Spanish club.
Angel stressed that the Catalonians are one of the most competitive teams in the world, and is pleased to hear that such a top club is interested in his services.
However, the Spanish national insisted that he will not count his chances before a concrete offer arrives from the Spanish giants. The defender pointed out that a similar interest was also expressed by the Barcelonistas and Sporting
Lisbon last year, but no deal could materialise.
The Maggica left-back stated that a transfer to Barcelona will be a dream come true for him, and insisted that such an offer will be too good for him to decline.
While talking to Com Radio, the 22-year-old said:
“It is pleasing to know that you are of interest to a team like Barcelona. They are one of the strongest teams in the world. There was contact with Barcelona and Sporting Lisbon last summer, but no agreement was ever reached. You
can’t say no to Barcelona.”
The former Sporting Gijón star was brought to Stadio Olimpico by Luis Enrique, in an effort to materialize his plans of introducing the Barcelona style of play in Serie A.
However, the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 B manager has resigned from his position at the Maggica, and the club is on the lookout for another coach. With the departure of Enrique, the Giallorossi are expected to move on to a different project,
and that is likely to undermine the importance of players like Jose Angel.
The Giallorossi player cost the club a total of €5m, and the defender made 27 appearances for the Maggica, this season. The defender is contracted to stay with the capital outfit until 2016.
