The Marseille sporting director is of the view that Ligue 1 sides will play with extra motivation against the cash-laden Ligue 1 outfit next season
PSG have taken Ligue 1 by storm since being taken over by the Qataris. The French club have invested heavily in the transfer market ahead of the new season, with the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029 joining the
Paris revolution.
Les Parisiens massive spending spree has not been welcomed by Olympique de Marseille’s sporting director, who feels that it has disturbed the balance of the French football.
While talking to reporters, the Frenchman stated that he disagrees with people calling PSG’s spending spree good for French football.
"Is it good for French football? I don't know. It is too early to comment on that,” he told reporters.
Jose Anigo expressed his surprise over the players PSG are recruiting. The 51-year-old said that none of their first-choice players are French and he expect Les Parisiens to field a team with no French players in their starting eleven in the up-coming season.
"What is bizarre is to see a French team with almost no French players in their team, or in the starting XI anyway,” Anigo added.
However, the former Consolat manager does not think that Paris Saint-Germain will be the clear favourites for the Ligue 1 title next season.
The Frenchman believes that Carlo Ancelotti’s side will find it hard to play against even the smaller sides in the league as those teams will raise their game against the cash-laden club from Paris.
Anigo said Paris Saint-Germain will find it hard to survive in the Ligue 1 as all other teams will try to beat them. Playing against a team with so many star players in it, would add extra motivation to the game.
"We must all combine our might to try to fight against the Parisian ogre. They will have to get used to even low-profile games becoming like big cup ties for them. That could be difficult for them because teams will raise their game against them."
Paris Saint-Germain will kick-start their 2012/2013 Ligue 1 campaign on August 11, when they entertain http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 at Parc des Princes.
