The Olympique de Marseille sporting director says that contrary to what people make out, he loves the rivalry with the cash-laden club and has said that people must not forget what Ronaldinho did for the club all those years ago
Tonight, Paris Saint-Germain will host archrivals, Olympique de Marseille in a Coupe de la Ligue encounter at Parc des Princes. This will be the second Clasico of the season and it promises to be an exciting encounter once again following the two giants’
2-2 draw at the Velodrome in a Ligue 1 encounter earlier this season.
While talking to Le Parisien, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-de-Marseille-c40127 sporting director, spoke about Paris Saint-Germain and said that he never hated his rivals. Initially, he was very exhuberant ahead of games against the Ile giants but now, he has calmed down a lot.
Mustapha Dahleb, an Algerian international who played for PSG for almost a decade is considered as the club’s greatest ever player by Anigo.
“My PSG is Mustapha Dahleb, a monster, Antoine Kombouare, who took the pain by leaving the club at the first place and Alain Roche, who I really appreciate. In the current squad, Clement Chantome pleases me greatly. He is a great lad, discreet and does not
need ‘bling-bling’ for a penny.”
While talking about the midfielder, Anigo also spoke about the new face of the club in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Zlatan-Ibrahimovic-c38029. Signed from AC Milan this summer, the 31-year-old has already scored 10 goals in the league and will play a huge role in the club’s
quest to lift the Championelle once again.
However, Anigo still feels that people should not forget what former legend, Ronaldinho did for PSG all those years ago. The sporting director went back to the Clasico from March 2003 when the Brazilian maestro simply mesmerised him.
“Trying to forget that match we lost 3-0 at home in March 2003. I saw Ronaldinho race, his feigned moves, trapping Hemdani and then he pulled in on an empty net. Much is said about Ibra but do not forget Ronaldinho. Add Ronnie to the first step of a great
PSG era.”
Last but not the least, Anigo also hit back at former coach Didier Deschamps for not trying to end squabbles of the past.
