Jose Bosingwa and Didier Drogba to return for Chelsea
Chelsea have been boosted by the return from injury of striker Dider Drogba and right-back Jose Bosingwa ahead their Premier League game against Wolverhampton on Saturday, 23 October.
Drogba has missed Chelsea's last two games after scoring his 13th goal in as many appearances against Arsenal earlier this month.
Bosingwa, who has suffered from knee problems since October 2009, played 17 minutes in Chelsea's draw with Aston Villa on 16 October. The right-back is set to make his first starting appearance in over a year against Wolves.
"I can say that Bosingwa will start – this is very good news after a long period. Everyone is excited to see him back and he's a very important player. We need a full-back with power and resistance. He has all these skills," Ancelotti said about the return
of the Portuguese, adding that Drogba will also play a part on Saturday. "Drogba will come back. He is fit and is able to play."
Too soon for Lampard to return
Frank Lampard underwent hernia surgery in August, and Ancelotti said he will have to wait longer for the return of the Englishman, who scored 22 goals in 36 league appearances last season.
"Frank is progressing very well and the next step will be to train with the team and after that to play. We have to be patient with Frank because he had a problem and he's trying to progress. We don't want to take a risk and so, for this reason, we have
to take more weeks to put him in the best position to play. He won't be able to play from the beginning against Blackburn [on 30 October], but he will be able to play the week after."
Chelsea are top of the Premier League table with 19 points from eight games. The Londoners are unbeaten at Stamford Bridge this season.
