Lokomotiv Moscow head coach, Jose Couceiro, has resigned from the Moscow-based club, following a meeting with Olga Smorodskaya at Lokomotiv stadium. Though, Lokomotiv have not officially confirmed the new appointment, media reports
suggest that the Railroaders have signed Slaven Bilic.

Couceiro has revealed that he made a deliberate decision to leave the Russian outfit after failing to adjust to life in Russia.
He apologized to the fans, following Lokomotiv’s poor run of form during the third league round, and went on to state that Lokomotiv would have got a European qualification had all the players remained fit.
The Moscow-based club ended the season on a harsh note, having failed to claim a European berth this season after suffering a 2-0 defeat against Spartak Moscow at their home.
Commenting on the outcome, the Portuguese tactician has lamented the result and blamed the injured players for their defeat. Maicon, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Felipe-Caicedo-c13525 remained on the sidelines for majority of the third league
round.
“It was a deliberate decision. A few weeks ago when Lokomotiv had occupied a higher place in the standings, I met with club president and expressed a desire to leave.
“After that, the club was free to seek a new coach. I terminated the contract and allowed the club to solve the problems by signing my successor. I thank God that the media has not created much noise.
“I think that I have fulfilled my part at the club, which will help the new coach to carry on with the progress the club has made over a small period of time.” The former Sporting Lisbon manager was quoted as saying.
Bilic is expected to step down as the Croatian national team manager in a bid to sign at Moscow at the end of this week. The former West Ham United manager is expected to lead the Russian outfit after terminating his current contract
with the Blazers.
