Jose Enrique attacks Newcastle United’s transfer policy – EPL News
Influential Newcastle United left-back Jose Enrique has blasted the Magpies transfer policy and believes that the Toon will never be able to establish themselves as one of the leading Barclays Premier League teams.
The Spanish left back has attacked Newcastle United’s policy of selling their star players for huge transfer sums. The Magpies sold Andy Carroll to Liverpool for a British record transfer fee of £35 in the January 2011 transfer window. Moreover, influential
skipper Kevin Nolan was offloaded to Championship side West Ham United.
He said, “The club is allowing all the major players of the team to go. Seriously, do you think it is the fault of the players? Andy [Carroll], nobby [Kevin Nolan] etc etc.”
Enrique believes that Newcastle United will never be able to establish themselves as a top team in the Premier League if they stick to such policies.
“This club will never again fight to be among the top 6 again with this policy,” added the Spanish defender.
The former Villarreal defender attracted interest from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alan-c4244 Pardew publically announced that the want-away left back had rejected the best contract offered in
the history of the club.
However, Enrique has rubbished Pardew’s claims about new contract deal and has revealed that Newcastle United are unwilling to spend money even on their current players. Moreover, the Spanish defender reckons that the Magpies’ lack of spending money on big
transfers is urging players to leave
He stated, “The [sic] give the money I have already. They lie all the time. But is no for money is because they don’t want spend in the club and bring quality players that’s why everybody go.”
The Spanish defender thanked Newcastle United faithful and has insisted that the Magpies supporters deserve to best football played at St. James Park next season.
“I think you fans are the best and you deserve the best, not what they are doing with the club,” the defender concluded.
