Liverpool’s Spanish full back has admitted that the best way to play football at Liverpool would be to imitate the Spanish national team who recently successfully defended their European Championships crown by defeating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926...
Jose Enrique has called upon his team mates at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vicente-c36001 Del Bosque’s tactics which have been so successful for Spain at the international level. Liverpool parted ways with Kenny Dalglish at the start of the summer
transfer window after a disappointing season where the club failed to compete for a UEFA Champions League qualification place.
Not only that, Liverpool started the previous Premier League season with aspirations of competing for the league title with the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United but in the end they were left with just a Carling Cup
final triumph. Dalglish’s team did make it to the final of the F.A Cup but failed to best http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-c31294 Di Matteo’s men captured that crown.
Kenny has since then been replaced with Brendan Rodgers who is known to play an attractive style of football with his previous club Swansea City. Rodgers has already hinted that Liverpool will form their own style of play rather
than adapt to any other style but Enrique is adamant that the way forward is in the Spanish mould as it has been successful at the international level.
Spain’s success in international football has been without doubt quite overwhelming as they won the European Championships in 2008 and then won the FIFA 2010 World Cup before defeating Italy in the final of the EURO 2012.
Enrique said, "For me it is the best way to play football, like http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 did, that's why they are the best at the moment. With the manager we play with the ball a lot and we are really happy with him.”
He added, "I'm really impressed. I know how he likes to play because we played against Swansea last year and I've seen them many times. He has only had a week with us but the training has been great, it is all with the ball, what
more do you want?”
