The Deportivo La Coruna coach asked the fans not to ask the world from the promoted Spanish outfit as their goal is to secure top flight security in the coming campaign.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/José-c19246 Luis Oltra, coach of Deportivo La Coruna, took out time to reflect on the plans of the club in their return to Spannish top flight football. The coach shared that their first goal is to ensure they are able to stave off relegation come the end of the
season, and asked the fans that they should be cautious in what they ask from the team as the competition will be tough.
Oltra shared that they had to face the ignominy of relegation from top division and will make sure that they do not have to suffer from similar emotions come the end of 2012/13 La Liga season.
Continuing on the topic, Oltra added that Deportivo have played good football in the past one year but will exchange it in an instant for Primera Division security.
"We have come, as we said last year the last five or ten games with options to achieve the goal. Last year we made in the penultimate round (the rise). Who would not give to get good retention in penultimate day? I would sign right now, even on the last
day and at the last minute," he said at a news conference.
The Valencian coach warned that the club’s will have a difficult start to the season as they make the step up from second tier Spanish football. He added that early matches against Real Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 should not be given too much thought given the
disparity in quality of players in the respective rosters.
Oltra added that Deportivo will used their initial outing to gauge themselves against the competition they face, before stating that the fans are well aware of the situation the club is in and should accommodate them.
"We have a calendar with some difficulty but you have to face it. In the first nine games played with teams called to be protagonists and hence my call to peace, to know who we are, where we are and what we want. The fans are smart," he said.
