Jose Mourinho has revealed the story behind his famed ‘zeru tituli’ phrase, and also defended Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is widely being labelled as a failure at the big European stage.
The Portuguese spent a memorable tenure as the manager of Inter Milan, winning a UEFA Champions League, two Scudettos, a Coppa Italia and a Supercoppa Italiana. In one of his press conferences during that time, the manager coined the catchphrase ‘zeru tituli’,
to suggest that his opponents will fail to win any honour.
The Real Madrid manager unveiled the legend behind the tagline, stating that the phrase was invented in a crucial stage for the Nerazzurri, where they were close contenders for three silverwares. He insisted that the use of the phrase was intended to weigh
on the nerves of other competing teams.

“We were at a crucial stage of the season, we could win it all or nothing. Roma, Juventus and Milan followed us in the League.
