Jose Mourinho and Real Madrid going in bidding war for Cesc Fabregas with Barcelona
Real Madrid the club with the money and the “Special One” may be going in a bidding war for Arsenal Captain Cesc Fabregas with Barcelona.
Real is willing to spend more money or should I say as much money necessary to make sure Barcelona does not sign Fabregas. How much more money are they willing to spend; 10 million more than Barceloan and if the bidding war starts the price can go higher.
Will Arsenal board allow the Captain to leave The Emirates is still in the air and the current unofficial 40 million tag price may not be enough? What is the price if any Arsene Wenger is looking wants for his lead man will become apparent in the next few days.
Every year Real Madrid buys star players for on the field performance but also to increase tickets and merchandise sales. Real Madrid are well known for paying lots of money for the top players; 80 million for Ronaldo just last year. Will Money be enough to get Fabregas who has publically stated, if he moves from Arsenal it will be to Barcelona.
All those comments by Fabregas were made before Real Madrid signed Jose Mourinho the Special one. Mourinho has his own ways of doing things and this attempt to overpay may well have many different intentions:
1. Mourinho really wants to sign Fabregas and is willing to pay top dollars for it but more than 40 million is a tough call when Mourinho has 45 million allowance for overall transfers.
2. This could also be Mourinho’s way to increase the price so Barcelona ends up paying way more than initially anticipated; leaving less cash for Barcelona for other buys
3. Mourinho may want Fabregas to stay at Arsenal; since Fabregas made public comments to move only to Barcelona; if Mourinho takes the price tag higher Barcelona may not match it and Fabregas stays put at Arsenal, a prefect sabotage attempt.
Bidding war is never good for the clubs but it is always good for the players. Fabregas, Arsene Wenger and Arsenal fans will be following this drama as it unfolds. Let’s see what emerges in the next couple of weeks.
