Jose Mourinho claims he has no intentions to replace Roberto Mancini as Manchester City coach
Real Madrid tactician, Jose Mourinho, has claimed that he has no plans to take up the coaching role of Manchester City in the next English Premier League by replacing Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mancini-c23323. Mourinho, ‘The Special one’, has been heavily linked with a move away
from Santiago Bernabeu to Eastlands, the homeland of Manchester City. Mourinho has termed these media speculations ‘nothing but rubbish statements’.
When questioned about a Manchester City move, the 48-year-old Mourinho said, “Me to Manchester City? That's impossible.”
Mourinho has frequently voiced his desire to pursue silverware with Real Madrid in spite of his admitted affection for English football. The men in white have performed well this season under the inspiring leadership of Jose Mourinho.
The good efforts of the ‘Special One’ have taken Madrid to the Copa del Rey final, where Los Galacticos will lock horns with fierce rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Barcelona-c39078. Meanwhile, Los Blancos have also been chasing the La Liga and UEFA Champions League silverwares.
The former Chelsea manager showed his deep association for English Premier League as he said, “I miss England and my next job will be in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749. There is unfinished business.”
Mourinho’s desire to go back to England does not difficult to figure out. The Portuguese spent a memorable time in England between 2004 and 2007 where he coached http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and won them two English Premier League titles, two League Cups and FA Cup silverware.
The reasons pushing Mourinho towards England are many. The special one has frosty relationships with Los Blancos decision makers. Media speculations indicate that Mourinho does not see eye to eye with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jorge-c19120 Valdano (General manager) and Florentino Perez
(Club President). Mourinho, who wanted to invest heavily in the January transfer season, was not granted the finances by the club management, severely denting their relationship.
However, the season cannot be tagged a failure. Silverware towards the end of the season would grant Mourinho a new life at Madrid. The FIFA Ballon d’Or Best Coach award winner replaced http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-c23383 Pellegrini on May 28th, 2010, as he agreed to coach
Los Blancos for four years.
Lastly, he was asked whether he would allow Cristiano Ronaldo to be sold to AC Milan, to which he replied:
“I’m not saying it's impossible, because in football you never know, and (AC Milan's owner, Silvio) Berlusconi can make a crazy offer. But it must be a true madness because Real Madrid don't want to sell http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629.”
The Portuguese has a reputation of evolving underachieving teams into champions. Needless to say, there is every chance that the Manchester City management would make serious efforts in the summers to bring Mourinho back to England.
