Jose Mourinho claims he is “No Magician”

Jose Mourinho revealed that, he believed that he is the ideal manager who can bring stability to Real Madrid in the long term and said that the opening draw against Real Mallorca was just a small hiccup on their way to reclaiming their lost glory.
Madrid failed to score and were held at a 0-0 draw over the weekend, while the other main contenders for the La Liga title, Barcelona won their fixture against Racing Santander with ease. They wasted no time in opening a two point lead at the top of the table with their 3-0 win at the weekend.
Mourinho told reporters, “I am a coach not Harry Potter. He is a magician. Magic is fiction and I live for football which is real.”
The “Special One” was of course referring to everyone who expects him to deliver miracles overnight and win the treble in his first year with Madrid. It is true that Mourinho has an impeccable record wherever he has coached; he started off by winning the Champions League with Porto, won the Premier League twice with Chelsea, The Serie A and Champions League with Inter Milan and has now taken on the Spanish giants.
He added, “I've only been two months in Madrid. Do you know how many training sessions I have had with everyone together, including the new signings? Not even 10.”
Mourinho is wise enough to realize that it might take longer to get Madrid back to winning ways. It was for this reason that he was brought on to replace former Madrid coach, Manuel Pellegrini, so that the Portuguese could stabilize affairs at the Bernabeu and break Barcelona’s seemingly endless dominance.
“Madrid is in many ways a conflict of footballing ideas. Coach after coach after coach... They need stability.” Mourinho said. He has a point. When he signed the four year contract in May of this year, he became the 10th manager since the removal of Vicente de Bosque in 2003.
However, he was well aware of his reputation and stated that his personal record and achievements made him the ideal man for the job. He said, “My profile as a coach is different to those they have had in recent years. If things go badly and I have to leave... I would have one of the best clubs in the world waiting for me.”
He added, “This personal stability allows me to say I am the ideal person to be at Madrid because I fear nothing. Madrid need stability and I'm here to give it.”
It is true that Madrid need a manager like Mourinho at the moment, and he has already started working towards providing that stability, bringing in players whom he thought would help with that. Two important signings that he made over the summer were that of Ricardo Carvalho and Mesut Ozil. Madrid get set to take on Osasuna in their second fixture on the 11th of September.
