October is the favourite month for the Real Madrid, as he has maintained an enviable record in the last six campaigns.
World of football has come to realize Jose Mourinho with a panache for self-proclaimed titles, but more importantly for the records he boasts off. October is a ‘special’ month for the ‘Only One’ as it is his favourite month of the year.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan manager boasts off an impeccable record in month number 10, with a flawless record stretching back six seasons. His last loss in October came in 2004, and since 2005 his winning record has gone uninterrupted, except when
he left Chelsea in 2007. He has chained together undefeated six Octobers, of which the last two have come during his service in Madrid.
A Manchester City outfit lead by Kevin Keegan was the last time Mourinho returned without a point to show for his efforts. The fateful date was 10/16/04, with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Nicolas-Anelka-c27786 scoring the winning goal. Interestingly, it was the first defeat for the Portuguese
tactician in his Chelsea career, the only one that the Blues suffered in said English Premier League campaign.
Since then, Mourinho has overseen 35 games with a nearly flawless balance: 28 wins, seven draws. The time frame takes into account the current Real Madrid manager’s journeys in London, Milan and now the Spanish capital.
Incidentally, the first chapters of the story were written seven years ago at Anfield Road. Mourinho’s Chelsea won 1-4 to Rafael Benitez’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809. Real Betis were another Spanish victim of the Special One as they met in the UEFA Champions League. Charlton
ruined the statistics for Mourinho that year, winning a League Cup fixture on penalties after a 1-1 draw during regulation time.
The following year, Chelsea was measured twice in the Champions against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Didier-Drogba-c11044 silencing his doubters in the 1-0 win. The Ivorian
was at it again at the Camp Nou, hitting the back of the net in the 2-2 draw.
