Jose Mourinho looking to sign Khedira

Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho, the special one, has always looked to have the best players at his disposal, and it does take something special to impress Mourinho. During the recently concluded World Cup in South Africa German Midfielder Sami Khedira is one that caught his eye and the Portuguese manager is determined to sign him.
Germany played an excellent brand of counter attacking football in the World Cup, and Khedira was at the centre of most of their plans. Playing in midfield he was able to instigate a number of crucial moves and dictated play from the middle of the park. Germany lost to Spain in the semi final and beat Uruguay in the match for 3rd position to finish 3rd in the world cup for the 2nd consecutive time.
Reportedly there is a clause in Khedira’s contract at Stuttgart that states that if a 10 million euro bid is made for the midfielder he can decide to accept it. Madrid is believed to make use of that and make their bid soon.
Jose Mourinho said that he wants to add a defender and a midfielder to his squad at Real Madrid. Jose had already signed Angel Di Maria and Pedro Leon that does fulfil their needs. Mourinho went on to say that even though Khedira is on their list but he will not put up an insane price in order to sign the German Midfielder.
While talking to a newspaper Mourinho said that the philosophy of Madrid has been to sign players at any cost, once Real wants a player they go to any length to get their man. The former Inter Milan boss said that this is not the way he works, he said that he knows the price of the players and will not go beyond a certain limit and will most certainly not get involved in a bidding war.
He added that the signing of Di Maria was already a bit expensive at 30 million Euros.  But he believes that it was money well spent as Maria has immense potential and will benefit the team in the long run. Mourinho said that Khedira is someone who can really boost the squad but he will be a great addition only if he comes at the right price.
Jose Mourinho who left Inter Milan after winning a treble said that one has to learn the lessons from Madrid’s last season. Big names do not make a big team and in fact it is the mentality of the player that makes even an average team into a great one. He said that he already had a great squad to work with and with minor additions he would get exactly what he wants.
Talking about some other news coming out of Madrid, their new signing Pedro Leon has already started to sing praises of his new club and its culture.
On Friday Leon was officially unveiled to the press and the fans of Real Madrid after all the paper work and other formalities of his transfer from Getafe had been completed.
The 23 year old said that there was interest from several other clubs but he only wanted to move to Real Madrid, he said that the club has a rich history and culture and there is no better place to enhance your game and make a name.
He said that his agent had been coming up to him for days with offers from some big clubs that were offering good money, but he kept waiting for the Real offer and once it came there were no 2nd thoughts in his mind and he knew that the dream move was set to happen.
