Jose Mourinho refuses to rule out a return to Inter Milan
Newly appointed Real Madrid coach has admitted he won’t rule out a return to his former club, Inter Milan. Jose Mourinho was appointed as the head coach of Real Madrid by President Florentino Perez earlier this summer following the tactician’s spell binding
results at Inter last season. Inter Milan, prior to their treble last season, had gone on without a Champions League triumph for a miserable 46 years. Jose Mourinho won the trophy for the club and duly left for the rising challenge of Real Madrid. Mourinho
had become a firm favourite with the club fans despite making himself a handful of enemies at the Peninsula. The Portuguese tactician’s departure from the club was on good terms, something that could play in Inter’s favour in the future.
Inter President, Massimo Morrati, refused to hold the tactician against his will, something that Mourinho deeply appreciates. In a recent interview with Italian media, Moratti had compared the Mourinho’s departure to a husband-wife relationship where the
man takes advantage of his wife’s love and leaves knowing she will not stop him.
Mourinho has appreciated the Italian’s positive words, “Moratti’s words are just like those of a friend who would love me, but also respect what I want”. Mourinho has stated that the transfer to Real Madrid was once in a lifetime opportunity, something he
could not have missed. The charismatic coach likes to stand up to challenges and the coaching position at Real Madrid is arguably the biggest challenge of all.
Towards the end of the interview, Mourinho was asked if he would return to Inter one day, "I will not exclude a possible return to Inter but I have always wanted the best for all”. Mourinho’s love for Inter is no secret as the tactician was famously videotaped

The Real Madrid hierarchy will be hoping the manager’s leadership at the club will land them the elusive 10th Champions League trophy for the club. Real Madrid is the most successful club in the Elite European competition with nine titles. Ever
since Fernando Hierro lifted their 9th trophy a decade back, the club has failed to make a single final appearance frequently bowing out in the round of 16.
