Jose Mourinho states he might not be able to add to Real Madrid squad
Real Madrid’s manager, Jose Mourinho has stated in a press conference that he might not be able to add any players to his already star studded squad, this transfer window.
The manager had made his intentions to bring in a new target man quite clear prior to the opening of the window. This was due to the fact that Gonzalo Higuain has suffered some serious injury issues this term and the team’s other striker Karim Benzema has
been fairly inconsistent for the team.
The manager is reported to have said the following, while addressing the media in regards to the future prospects of new players joining Madrid this month: “I have great hope, but I do not think I will get anybody. I talked to the president a couple
of days ago and so far nothing.”
“The club, after last’s years investments, want to continue but it cannot be any player. I get paid to work and try to make the most of the players that I have available. There are many very good players, but unfortunately there is only one fit striker, and
that is Karim.”
“I understand that talk will continue until the end of January because the door remains open until then, but this is the group that will continue until the end of the season.”
Mourinho went on to state that he might even have to re-think the tactics that he has implied at the club, if the current injury situation at the team doesn't pick itself up. The manager then went on to state that he might even have to introduce more youth
players into the team, in order to cope up with the problems at Bernabeu.
However, for the short term future of the team, the manager insisted that he would be opting to use http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Karim-Benzema-c20350. The manager still insisted that he would have liked to go on the hunt for a new forward, but considering the club’s board is not on terms with
the manager, he would have to do with what he has. If history is anything to go by, then not doing as Mourinho asks, might come back to haunt the board at Madrid. However, it is still a little too early to say anything, but all the Madrid fans will be hoping
the team and the manager can overcome the obstacles that have presented themselves to the team.
